What we collect, why, and how to ask us about it.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

The short version

We collect only what we need to answer you and, if you become a client, to run your marketing. We don’t sell it, and you can ask us to show you, correct or delete it at any time.

Whose notice this is

Driving Sales Locally is run by Jeremy Dent, who decides how your information is used (the "data controller"). For anything about your data, contact Jeremy at Suite 252, 6 Queen Street, Huddersfield HD1 2SQ, or email jeremy@drivingsaleslocally.com.

Information we hold

  • When you get in touch: the name, company, phone number, email address, website and message you send through the form, by email or on a call.
  • When you’re a client: details needed to deliver the plan, such as access to your Google profile, photos you send, your business information and the customer contact details used to send review requests on your behalf.
  • When you browse, and only if you accept analytics: pages visited, device type and rough location, gathered by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

Suppliers who process it for us

Your information is handled by the services we rely on to operate: our website and form platform, web hosting, email, Google (Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile), Microsoft Clarity, and SaaSMation, which runs the Managing Reviews platform. Where any of them process data outside the UK, they do so under recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

Retention

If an enquiry doesn’t turn into work, we delete it within 24 months. Client information is kept while you’re with us and for up to six years afterwards to meet accounting and legal requirements.

Your choices

Under UK data protection law you can request a copy of your information, have it corrected, ask for it to be erased, limit or object to how it’s used, or receive it in a portable format. Withdrawing consent for analytics is as simple as clearing this site’s cookies. To make any request, email jeremy@drivingsaleslocally.com.
